Lisgriffin is a co-educational Primary School which has served the community faithfully since its establishment in 1933.
I am privileged to lead a small team of a very talented and committed teachers and ancillary staff. We are blessed with a commitment to excellence at every level in the school: pupils; staff and parents. We are blessed with a hugely talented staff who show a great commitment to the education and well being of all our students.Our other school partners – an active Parents` Association and a dedicated Board of Management – all strive to provide the very best educational experience for our pupils.
In Lisgriffin our pupils are educated to a very high standard: they become highly literate, highly articulate, highly numerate and highly creative. They are lovers of sport.We also love the Arts and, as you will see from our website, we have excelled in music, dance, drama, athletics…….
Our pupils feel secure in school and develop a high level of self-esteem.We encourage a strong work ethic.In expecting a lot on a daily basis, high standards become a habit.
Academic, sporting, artistic, and creative excellence is not all that are emphasized in Lisgriffin.We teach the children tolerance, respect for self and for others.
In summary we strive to allow each of our students to become the very best that they wish to be, while empowering them to meet the challenges of education and of life.
